AMSA: Fatigue a key factor behind improper maintenance

IMO issues updated guidelines on fatigue

In the 100th session of its Maritime Safety Committee (MSC 100), IMO approved revised guidelines on fatigue, to assist all stakeholders to contribute to the mitigation and management of fatigue, which poses significant risks to safety and health of seafarers, operational safety, security and protection of the marine environment.

NTSB: Distractions, fatigue among the main problems for shipping

The US National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) announced its 2019 – 2020 Most Wanted List of Transportation Safety Improvements, during an event held at the National Press Club, on February 4.
