FarEye raises $100M for global expansion

FarEye, a global software-as-a-service delivery management platform, announced Tuesday it has closed a $100 million Series E round led by TCV and Dragoneer Investment Group with participation from past investors including Eight Roads Ventures, Fundamentum and Honeywell. Along with the raise, Gopi Vaddi, a general partner at TCV, will join the company’s board of directors.

The company has raised a total of $150.7 million since 2013.

Last mile is the poster child for retail’s shift

Businesses have moved on from “let’s just get through 2020” and must now focus on delivering value through their last-mile delivery operations in a new world, said Chris Kina, analyst with consultancy Gartner.

Trailer shortage fears as EU drivers question the viability of serving the UK

European road freight shipment visibility platform Transporeon has questioned the idea that Europe faces continent-wide trailer shortages as a result of increasing haulier reluctance to serve the UK post-Brexit.

J.B. Hunt gifts $1.5 million for sustainable, inclusive supply chains

J.B. Hunt gifted $1.5 million to the University of Arkansas for sustainable supple chains.

J.B. Hunt Transport Services Inc. (NASDAQ: JBHT) announced a $2.25 million collaboration with the Sam M. Walton College of Business at the University of Arkansas Tuesday.
