Hapag-Lloyd has announced the following void position as part of its vessel maintenance scheme (VMS):

Hapag-Lloyd increases prices from US

Hapag-Lloyd will implement the following General Rate Increase (GRI) in the westbound trade from all United States to East Asia destinations as of 23 March 2020 (date of cargo receipt at origin).

This General Rate Increase will apply to commodities on all dry containers as follows:

Hapag-Lloyd has announced that it will apply a peak season surcharge (PSS) for all Dry cargo from 1 March 2020:

Karachi (Pakistan) to Arabian Gulf as follows:

Hapag-Lloyd 2019 profits soar as cost savings compensate for soft Q4

Hapag-Lloyd enjoyed a near-doubling of ebit to €811m ($875m) in 2019, according to preliminary figures, but saw a softer fourth quarter.
Ebitda for the year was up 74% to €1.9bn for the shipping line, which said the biggest drivers of the change were improved freight rates and “rigorous cost and revenue management”.

On the basis of preliminary figures, Hapag-Lloyd’s earnings before interest and taxes (EBIT) for the 2019 financial year significantly increased to EUR 811 million (2018: EUR 444 million).
