ABS issues cyber risk management guidelines

ABS Group of Companies launched a set of safety and risk-based services to facilitate the smooth compliance to the International Maritime Organization’s (IMO) 2021 Cyber Risk Management (CRM) guidelines.

To remind, the IMO issued a resolution which states that by the 1st of January 2021, all shipping companies will be mandated to ensure that cyber risks are appropriately addressed in existing safety management systems (as defined in the ISM Code).

IMO Sub-Committee to finalize rule for safe offshore power supply

The IMO Sub-Committee on Ship Systems and Equipment (SSE) which started on 2 March, is set to finalize the draft guidelines focused on the safety of offshore power supply to vessels’ operations, while is also working on crew safety matters.
