APM Terminals and Aqaba Development Corporation (ADC) have signed a US$ 242 million agreement to expand the Aqaba Container Terminal (ACT), boosting annual capacity to over 1.7 million TEU. Aqaba Container Terminal and Aqaba Development Corporation have joined forces to manage and operate a hazardous materials yard in the Aqaba Special Economic Zone.

Hapag Lloyd launches new Red Sea feeder

Container shipping via the Red Sea remains disrupted by ongoing geopolitical events and the threat of attack by Houthi rebels in Yemen.
