Qatari firm signs marine engineering co-operation agreement

Qatar-based N-KOM and global maritime technology company Kongsberg have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) that establishes a framework for collaboration in the maritime engineering services sector. The scope of the agreement includes vessel maintenance, repair and overhaul, offshore products and services, ship conversions, refits and retrofits and vessel system spare parts.

Pakistan port authority orders new tugs

Turkey’s Sanmar Shipyards has signed contracts for six vessels, worth over US$33 million, with the Port Qasim Authority (PQA) in Pakistan, including four tugboats and two pilot boats. All six will be delivered in 2022.
