Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA) and China’s Shandong Provincial Transport Department signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on 9 October to establish the Singapore – Shandong Green and Digital Shipping Corridor (GDSC).

MPA Singapore conducts search and rescue operation for missing crew

The Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA) is coordinating a search and rescue operation with the Police Coast Guard (PCG) and the Singapore Civil Defence Force for a missing crew from a tugboat, Oshio.

EMA, MPA shortlist two consortia to study ammonia viability for power generation and bunkering

The Energy Market Authority (EMA) and the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA) have shortlisted two consortia that will proceed to the next round of evaluations of proposals to provide a low- or zero-carbon ammonia solution on Jurong Island for power generation and bunkering.

Houthis fire projectiles at CMA CGM-operated ship

The Houthis have attacked a container vessel operated by French shipping company CMA CGM.

The Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA) said that it was informed around 10.30am local time today (19 July) that the 2001-built Singapore-flagged 2,078 TEU Lobivia was struck by unidentified projectiles while transiting the Gulf of Aden.

Two tankers on fire in Singapore after collision

Fire broke out on two tankers in Singapore waters today (19 July). The Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA) said that at 6.15am local time, distress calls were received from the crew on the Hafnia Mile, a 2017-built 74,189 dwt products tanker and the Ceres I, a 2001-built very large crude carrier.

Singapore oil spill: Insurance claims capped at under US$6 million
