Busan container terminal orders new Konecranes equipment

Busan New Container Terminal (BCNT) has ordered six Noell Sprinter Carriers from the port equipment manufacturing company Konecranes, to complement its existing fleet of 36 Sprinter Carriers.

Five of the machines on order were booked in June and one in September, while the order is estimated to be delivered to the North Korean port by June 2022.

Ports of Busan and Barcelona strengthen logistics alliance

The ports of Barcelona and Busan have enhanced their logistics alliance, opening a new Korean logistics platform at the Logistics Activities Zone (ZAL) of the Spanish port.

HMM given until 1 September to settle labour dispute – More than half company’s seafarers to move to MSC

HMM’s seafaring union has given the management a week’s grace to see if a compromise to the impasse in their salary increment expectations can be reached.

Tight shipping capacity sees carriers skip Busan

South Korea’s Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries said that liner operators have been omitting calls to Busan, reportedly because Chinese shippers are more willing to pay higher freight charges.

Barcelona and Busan join forces on new Catalan logistics hub

The port authorities of Barcelona and Busan have promoted a joint project to develop a new logistics centre in Barcelona.

BPA forms LNG bunkering JV with KOGAS

Port of Busan ranked second globally due to its weekly cargo services

Busan Port Authority highlighted that its regular container cargo services increased five times to 268 during February 2018. The figure was based on the database q-from the global analysing institute, Alphaliner.
