Ports of Antwerp and Zeebrugge partner with Chile on hydrogen production

The Belgian ports of Antwerp and Zeebrugge have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Energy Ministry of Chile aiming to cooperate to create green hydrogen flows between Chile and Western Europe.

Zeebrugge port offers enhanced rail connection with France

The Zeebrugge port authority, COSCO Shipping Ports (CSP) Zeebrugge and the transportation and freight forwarding company, Naviland Cargo, have partnered to increase the frequency of the rail service, which connects the major Belgian port and the eastern French rail hub of Strasbourg.

The connection now offers a daily roundtrip with a stopover in Antwerp, according to a statement.

Port of Zeebrugge sees strong intermodal offer

Port of Zeebrugge has seen new rail services with Terminal Container Athus (TCA) and the Swiss-based rail operator Hupac Intermodal commencing new intermodal products in the Belgian port.

Firstly, TCA is restarting a weekly container train between Zeebrugge and Athus aiming to serve only maritime cargo. Additionally, Cosco Shipping Ports (CSP) and TCA will transport containers from two calls of the Ocean Alliance, which includes COSCO, OOCL, CMA CGM and Evergreen Line.
