Volumes Reach 736,466 TEUs, 4.4% Increase Over Previous Year

The Port of Los Angeles handled 736,466 Twenty-Foot Equivalent Units (TEUs) in April, the busiest April in the Port’s 112-year history. The volumes reflect growth of 4.4 percent compared to last April and is three percent more than the previous April record in 2017.

For the first four months of 2019, Port volumes have increased 4.5 percent compared to the same period last year.

CP marks an all-time record in April

APM Terminals Algeciras sets new record

APM Terminals Algeciras hits a new Port Moves Per Hour (PMPH) record for a vessel berthed at Juan Carlos I berth. On Monday, 25th of March, 187,82  PMPH were registered on MSC Kalina.

The Operations Department of the largest terminal in the Mediterranean confirmed that this is the best result since MSC Ditte called in September 2017. Back then it registered 183,64 PMPH.

Port of New York and New Jersey keeps breaking records

The momentum of record-breaking container volume continued in the new year, setting an all-time high in January. Total volume for January 2019 rose by 6.3 percent, posting 622,531 TEUs (355,374 lifts) versus 585,864 TEUs (335,282 lifts) in January of 2018. This increase represents the fifth highest monthly volume ever recorded at the Port of New York and New Jersey.

JAXPORT announces record Jan container volume

The Port of New Orleans (Port NOLA) moved more containers in 2018 than at any time in its history, totaling 591,253 twenty-foot equivalent units (TEUs), up 12.3 percent compared to one year ago.
