X-Press Feeders moves into large-ship segment with 11,000 TEU quartet

X-Press Feeders has commissioned its first Neo-Panamax ships. The Singapore-based operator has ordered four 11,000 TEU methanol dual-fuelled vessels at Shanghai Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding in China. These newbuildings will be installed with scrubbers, windshields, and various energy-saving and drag-reduction solutions, to consume less fuel.

The order was made on 29 May, after X-Press Feeders took delivery of X-Press Pyxis, the last of a dozen 7,000 TEU ships at SWS.

Sea Consortium fined US$40,000 for violating Bangladesh flag rules

Singapore-based feeder vessel operator X-Press Feeders/Sea Consortium Pte Ltd has paid Tk 4.78 million (around US$41,000) as a fine for violating the Bangladesh Flag Vessels (Protection) Act 2019.

After the payment, the authorities released one of the operator’s container vessels, namely X-PRESS LHOTSE, which was detained for two days at the outer anchorage of Chittagong port with 1,600 TEU boxes onboard.
