Baltic Tern loses five containers in North Sea

The 1,600TEU boxship Baltic Tern has lost five containers at sea north of Ameland, The Netherlands, after experiencing difficulties due to heavy weather en route from the Port of St. Petersburg in Russia to the Port of Rotterdam.

TS Lines revamps Asia and Australia services

Feeling bullish about market conditions, Taiwanese intra-Asia shipping specialist TS Lines is increasing capacity on new and existing services.

TS Lines will operate the China India West Coast X-Press (CWX) service with Korea Marine Transport Company (KMTC) and Singapore’s X-Press Feeders.

Indian Coast Guard addresses boxship fire eruption

The Indian Coast Guard has contained a fire that broke out on X-Press Godavari container ship at anchorage near Sandheads, 100km south of Haldia Port, on the morning of 28 September.
