Oil spill reported after container ship’s collision with ferry in Corsica

After the container ship ‘CSL Virginia’ collided with the ferry ‘Ulysse’, the container ship’s hull was ruptured. As a result, a bunker spill of around 4 kilometres has been reported off Corsica.

After the collision, ‘CSL Virginia’s’ fuel tanks have been ruptured, leading to an oil spill. According to French maritime authorities, the oil spill is about 4 kilometres and is floating off the Corsica.
