Delivered buys $100K in assets from defunct Point Pickup Technologies

Strongsville, Ohio-based parcel shipping company Delivered recently agreed to purchase virtually all assets from Point Pickup Technologies, months after the company closed due to bankruptcy.

OneRail solution targets inventory shrinkage in logistics

Last-mile fulfillment provider OneRail recently introduced a solution, OmniPoint Inventory Visibility, designed to help prevent inventory shrinkage, the discrepancy between recorded inventory and actual stock.

The solution, OmniPoint, seeks to address pain points OneRail found in a survey of 300 logistics leaders, two-thirds of whom said they experience inventory shrinkage in transit. Most cited visibility issues or inaccurate inventory data.

DHL to pay $8.7M to settle EEOC race discrimination lawsuit

Delivery company DHL has agreed to pay $8.7 million to settle a class race discrimination lawsuit brought by the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission.

DHL, a transport and logistics provider, will pay the settlement to a group of 83 Black employees who were subjected to discrimination because of their race, the EEOC announced in April. The company will also be subjected to the oversight of former EEOC Commissioner Leslie Silverman to monitor compliance with the consent decree.

OneRail survey details retail shippers’ last-mile delivery needs

A recent study by last-mile solutions provider OneRail found retailers consider diversifying their delivery networks crucial and revealed strategies they use to better understand those networks.
